Monte dei Capuccini and Palazzo Chiablese

Up early on a beautiful fall day, so I decided to head across town and up the hill to where there is not only a nice church, it has one of the best viewpoints of Turin as a city.

The galleria for a little high end shopping… or catch a film at the Lux

Just off the main piazza near the royal palace, there is a fairly unassuming chapel in the corner. I completely missed it my first day. I popped in and it was a beautiful jewel box baroque masterpiece of marble. A fantastic hidden secret.

They’ve set the expectations – don’t even bother asking!

When I was doing some looking around, there was a set of royal apartments I wanted to visit but they indicated that for tours in English or French you had to request them via email. So, I sent off an email with low expectations but in fact they got back to me in less than 24 hours. They then had to move the tour due to some activities going on. I arrived and met the most lovely senior citizen volunteer who took me on a private tour of the Palazzo Chiablese.
