Boulogne

I am finding my own suburb, Boulogne-Billancourt to be incredible charming.

The majority of buildings seem to be from the 1920s and 30s so there is a strong art deco feel.

Across the Seine, heading towards Paris is the area of Javel and the Andre Citroen Park. A beautiful park sitting next to the sleek prefecture buildings.

Crossing the river the other way (away from Paris) leads to Saint Cloud and its beautiful parks including formal gardens.

The views across the city are excellent.

Sitting on a small island between Boulogne and Saint Cloud is Ile Seguin and the Seine Musical, a performing arts venue with a movable ‘solar sail’ that can rotate and help meet the energy needs of the complex.

Thumbs up!
