Little Kooks

Having read some mixed reviews before coming to Athens, it’s been such a pleasant surprise. My neighbourhood is green, walkable and incredibly quiet at night.

Even the metro is more orderly and spotless clean than I expected.

I wandered through the lush and leafy National Gardens

Then into the Psyri neighbourhood

Little Kooks is an Athens institution – known for their themed and seasonal decorations. This is one place where less is more and they don’t stop until every space is crammed with something.

Then up to the Central Market – which was largely fish and meat vendors (the fruits and vegetables happen in other areas on different days)

And I am very much living the “It’s all greek to me” expression
