Less than a minute’s walk outside my apartment, it was market day today. I had seen the no parking signs go up the day before and they don’t mess around here in Athens. I was a huge market spanning several closed streets with endless fruits and vegetables, the occasional olives, nuts and dry beans.

From there I walked through Nea Smyrni – the next neighbourhood down from me.

Executive Plastic Surgery!

Finally making way down to the water and to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center. A large modern complex featuring a public library and Opera house.

Covering the roof of the library is an extensive Mediterranean garden.

Love the farmers market and scenery.
